Bharathi celebrates India's 78th Independence Day
Bharathi's primary wing celebrated the 78th Independence Day with a special assembly conducted by the children. Mrs Renu, Vice Principal, hoisted the tricolour, and the Kindergarten students' captivating march past in saffron, white, and green hues caught everyone's attention. The primary school kids' portrayal of iconic freedom fighters by delivering famous lines left an indelible impression.
On the 15th of August, 2024, Mr. Chinthan, Head of the Department of Tamil, hoisted the national flag, followed by the school choir's rendition of Kodi Paattu. The cadets of the Army and Air wings of NCC, Bulbuls, Scouts, and Guides of BSG formed a spectacular human chain to depict the map of India on the school grounds. They also impressively coordinated the formation of the school's name, "Bharathi." The speeches on Independence Day, the impressive display of Independence Day-themed paintings, and the India map rangoli truly elevated the day's significance.
The School has taken its name after Subramania Bharathi (popularly known as ‘Mahakavi Bharathi’) pioneer of modern Tamil poetry, a fiery independence activist, a remarkable social reformer, and a journalist.
