The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces that aims to develop interest among students in all three wings of the Armed Forces: the Army, the Navy, and the Air Force. The NCC is a voluntary educational programme that offers students basic military training and a wide range of activities that emphasise social services, discipline, and adventure training. This programme cultivates values of duty, commitment, dedication, and moral responsibility. NCC helps the cadets get recruited into the Indian defence services and civil services.
The motto of NCC: Unity and Discipline
Aims of the NCC:
Bharathi School has established the Army Wing and the Air Wing of the NCC to develop character, build leadership skills, and cultivate a sense of civic duty in students.
The School has taken its name after Subramania Bharathi (popularly known as ‘Mahakavi Bharathi’) pioneer of modern Tamil poetry, a fiery independence activist, a remarkable social reformer, and a journalist. He is an archetype of revolutionary thinking, modern ideas, the invincible spirit of freedom and courage. Bharathi School is a quintessence of his tenets in letter and spirit.
