Bharathi Darshan 2024, an arena for Project-Based Learning

Bharathi School conducted its annual flagship STEAM exhibition, Bharathi Darshan, on the 9th of November 2024. Bharathians from grades 1 to 12 participated in this student-centred Project-Based Learning that inspired the spirit of inquiry, critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving. The Science & Technology section displayed demonstrations, working models, and prototypes ranging from simple machines to Chandrayaan-3, as well as human body models to DNA extraction. It gave young researchers and innovators the right platform to showcase their flair for science. The Mathematics section had exhibits that elucidated Math's practical and theoretical applications in everyday life using numbers, symmetry, and patterns.
The Department of Social Studies transported the visitors through various historical periods, showcasing important events, figures, and cultural milestones. Replicas of the Chidambaram temple, dams, Pagoda, and Ziggurat; models based on an Outlook on Germany, weather instruments, and the like showed the current generation's social awareness and responsibilities. The Tamil department had an immersive and vibrant showcase of the Tamil-speaking world's rich linguistic, literary, and cultural heritage. Literature and Language department celebrated the world of stories, poetry, language, and grammar. Bharathi Darshan's 'TATA Corner paid a glowing tribute to the late Philanthropist and Industrialist Mr. Ratan Naval Tata through a special display of his achievements, poem dedication, and quiz.
Bharathi Darshan 2024 provided an opportunity for the students to share their ideas and served as a testament to their creativity, intellect, and dedication.

The School has taken its name after Subramania Bharathi (popularly known as ‘Mahakavi Bharathi’) pioneer of modern Tamil poetry, a fiery independence activist, a remarkable social reformer, and a journalist. He is an archetype of revolutionary thinking, modern ideas, the invincible spirit of freedom and courage. Bharathi School is a quintessence of his tenets in letter and spirit.
