Mrs. Jaya Chinnasamy, M.A., B.Ed., the Founder and Principal of Bharathi School, was known to be a lady of iron will and indomitable spirit. A pioneer and a path breaker, she made a difference in the field of school education in the 1970s when she envisioned and realised her dream of starting a co-education school in what was then a sparsely inhabited and conservative community. The school took its baby steps under her wings and went from strength to strength in the following years. She laid the strong foundation for all the institutions that come under the Bharathi Group. Her iconic working style continues to motivate aspiring educationalists who aim to blaze a trail. Her invincible belief in the “empowerment of all, through quality education”, is echoed in all our institutions and will continue to reverberate in future.
Thiru. R. S. Chinnasamy, Advocate, and the President of Bharath Educational Society, has always been the bastion of our Founder Principal. It was with his encouragement that the dream of our Founder Principal took shape and developed the wings to soar high. Being the epitome of Bharath Educational Society, he provided unstinting support and served as the pillar of strength during the phases of development of this prestigious institution. His strong presence guides and enthuses us to move towards our vision.
The Chinnasamys, the stalwarts of the Bharathi Group of Institutions, primed Mr. Anand and Dr. (Mrs.) Bhuvana Anand who, in due course, have become proponents of this group.
Dr. (Mrs.) Bhuvana Anand, the school witnessed the advent of a new era under Dr. (Mrs.) Bhuvana Anand. With her zealous efforts, the institution attained legendary status. She has left her indelible footprints in the chronicles of this school with her inspiration and leadership values. Being a great team-builder, she was the fountainhead of the new ventures of the Bharathi Group of Institutions. She continues to be our perpetual source of motivation.
Mr. Anand, the lead torchbearer of the Bharathi group of institutions, has always been our inconspicuous pillar of support since his induction into Bharathi School. Groomed by our beloved founder, he continues to be the driving force behind all the notable milestones of this esteemed institution. He has made a mark by spearheading every initiative during the journey from the Silver jubilee to the Golden jubilee without much ado. He is instrumental in the evolution of Bharathi School to Bharathi School - ICSE.
He is the supremo of Bharathi School, Yuvabharathi Public School, Jayam Foundation and Bharathi Rehabilitation Centre, which come under the aegis of Bharath Educational Society. With more than three decades of prolific experience in the arena of School Administration and Management, he sets the standards for our performance that others wish to emulate. The School has taken its name after Subramania Bharathi (popularly known as ‘Mahakavi Bharathi’) pioneer of modern Tamil poetry, a fiery independence activist, a remarkable social reformer, and a journalist. He is an archetype of revolutionary thinking, modern ideas, the invincible spirit of freedom and courage. Bharathi School is a quintessence of his tenets in letter and spirit.
