The Bharat Scouts and Guides (BS&G) is one of the leading skilling movements in India. It nurtures the skills, values, and abilities of young individuals. 'Learning by doing' is the fundamental principle of the BS&G, where scouts and guides actively engage in real-world activities.

Bharat Scouts & Guides - Heerak Pankh Bulbul Camp 2026

Bharathi's Guides students attended a one-day Bharat Scouts & Guides - Bulbul camp held in Periyanaickenpalayam, Coimbatore, on the 21st of February 2026, with 10 schools participating. The Heerak Pankh (Diamond Wings) Test Camp is the fifth level of the Bharat Scouts and Guides programme for Bulbuls (the junior section for girls). The Heerak Pankh test camp assesses participants' leadership, service, and scouting skills. 10 Bulbuls from Grade 3 successfully attended this camp and are now eligible to attend the National Level Camp (Golden Arrow Badge).

Annual Bharat Scouts and Guides Camp 2026

Bharathi's Scouts and Guides students attended the three-day Annual Bharat Scouts and Guides Camp at Periyanaickenpalayam, Coimbatore, from the 30th of January to the 1st of February 2026, with 19 schools participating. This Tritiya Sopan Camp is a residential testing and training event and marks the fourth level in a Scout or Guide's advancement path. A total of 48 students from Bharathi — 31 Scouts and 17 Guides from Grades 6 and 7 — took part in the training programme. Tritiya Sopan develops leadership, camping, and survival skills. 12 Scouts and 6 Guides were recruited; 6 Scouts and 6 Guides were included in the Patrol Team; 13 Scouts and 5 Guides received Tritiya certificates. Bharathi's Scouts and Guides actively participated in all activities, including a campfire and an All-Faith Prayer.


Scouts & Guides and Bulbul Camps 2025

Bharathi's Scouts and Guides students attended a three-day annual Bharat Scout and Guides camp held at Karamadai from the 10th to the 12th of January 2025, where 21 schools participated. Forty-two students from Bharathi —26 scouts and 16 guides—from grades 6, 7, and 8 took part in this training programme. With the motto "Be prepared," the scouts and guides enthusiastically participated in first aid classes, rescue classes, and activities like knot tying, gardening hacks, etc.

Bharathi's Bulbul students from Grades 3 and 4 attended the one-day camp (10th of January 2025) with the motto "Do your best". Seventeen Bulbul girls participated in hands-on activities like bangle & thread, hoops, drawing and colouring, spoon and ball, bricks, puzzles, dice, and arrow, which kept them engaged and helped them build their skills.

Bharat Scouts and Guides - 75th Year Diamond Jubilee Jamboree

The Bharat Scouts and Guides, India, celebrated its 75th Year Diamond Jubilee Jamboree at Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, from the 28th of January 2025 to the 3rd of February 2025. With the theme "Empowered Youth, Developed India," about eighteen thousand young Scouts, Guides and leaders from the country and abroad came together to share their experiences. Three Scouts and six Guides from Bharathi participated in this mega Scouts and Guides jamboree under the guidance of Guides Captain Ms. S. Menaga Devi.

Our Scouts and Guides learnt problem-solving skills and realised how working together gives them synergy to complete the tasks efficiently. They appreciated the pageantry show that displayed the traditional dresses from various cultures and traditions of different states.

Following the adventure activities, they interacted with the Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Mr. Udhayanidhi Stalin, who highlighted the importance of the Mega Jamboree. They also met Mr. Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, the Minister for School Education in Tamil Nadu.

The jamboree included many activities and games like fire drill, rifle shooting, pistol shooting, archery, basketball, and more. Our contingent visited the 'Global Development Village' where they explored the latest updates on solar energy, management of plastics, mental health and the like. They performed Badaga dance and showcased their enthusiasm and camaraderie.

Mr. M.K. Stalin, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, presided over the Closing ceremony and felicitated the Jamboree Camp. Our Scouts and Guides brought home a cartload of memories from this international jamboree.

The School has taken its name after Subramania Bharathi (popularly known as ‘Mahakavi Bharathi’) pioneer of modern Tamil poetry, a fiery independence activist, a remarkable social reformer, and a journalist. He is an archetype of revolutionary thinking, modern ideas, the invincible spirit of freedom and courage. Bharathi School is a quintessence of his tenets in letter and spirit.
