Bharathi Outreach 2025-26

Bharathi School has been supporting Shanti Ashram's Poverty Solutions for the past 14 years, helping in its mission to create brighter futures for children in need.

This year, Bharathi outreach programme began with an orientation programme conducted by Mr. G. Vijayaragavan, Head of the Youth Leadership Programme at Shanti Ashram. The session helped the students to recognise the effects of child poverty and be inspired to use their resources wisely to make a positive difference.

As part of this initiative, the Bharathians participated in the Poverty Solutions programme by receiving the piggy banks from the Shanti Ashram and saved small amounts over time. The collected savings were later given to the staff members of Shanti Ashram, who, in turn, will give them to the needy. In addition, on the occasion of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty 2025, the student council members collected rice, pulses, grains, and other essential provisions from the student body and teachers. They donated the provisions to the Shanti Ashram's Food Bank.

Participation in 'Poverty Solutions' reminded the Bharathians that even the smallest act of kindness can bring hope to someone in need.
