Bharathi School commemorated its 55th Annual Day, themed "Honouring Our Heritage While Embracing Innovation," on the 25th of August 2025,
with grandeur and pride.
Mr. V. V. Anand, the Senior Manager and Branch Head at Karur Vysya Bank, presided as the Chief
Guest. Mr. Anand, Member of the Management, Mr. Sanjeev Anand, the Correspondent, Mrs. Nehaarika Sanjeev, Member of the Management, Principals
of the school's sister concerns, and educators, graced the event. Mr. Neil Guha, Senior Principal, welcomed the Chief Guest, and Mr. Sanjeev
Anand honoured the Chief Guest with a memento. Mrs. Mary Novate, the Principal, presented the annual report, providing insights into
the school's milestones and initiatives, emphasising excellence not only in academics and sports but also in holistic development. The Chief
Guest, an alumnus of Bharathi, shared words of wisdom about the purpose and goals of school life in his address. He honoured the toppers of
the Board examinations and students who represented the CISCE Board at the School Games Federation of India with awards.
The cultural programme
emphasised honouring our heritage while embracing innovation. The programme included an array of captivating dances, depicting early agricultural celebrations,
the evolution of transportation, industrialisation, the development of the film industry, and the evolution of dance and music forms, as well as soulful music.
The School has taken its name after Subramania Bharathi (popularly known as ‘Mahakavi Bharathi’) pioneer of modern Tamil poetry, a fiery independence activist, a remarkable social reformer, and a journalist. He is an archetype of revolutionary thinking, modern ideas, the invincible spirit of freedom and courage. Bharathi School is a quintessence of his tenets in letter and spirit.
