Bharathi Darshan 2022

Bharathi School conducted and presented to the public its annual flagship event, Bharathi Darshan, an interdisciplinary art and science exhibition on the 3rd of December 2022. It showcased the talents of students of all classes in diverse faculties like languages, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Social Sciences, Theatre, Culinary skills and Health.

Bharathi Darshan 2022 was an excellent tool that engaged children to taste learning by doing, with curiosity. About 1100 Students participated and came up with innovative ideas and working models for their exhibits.

The faculty of English had a vast array of displays based on grammar, prose and poetry, demonstrating excellent standards of creativity. Tamil department exhibited our rich culture and heritage by utilising naturalistic exhibits, pleasing the eye and reminding us of our roots. The Mathematics projects had an interdisciplinary approach that clearly explained the interconnections of different subjects with mathematics.

Science -Physics, Chemistry and Biology- served as an ideal platform to engage the children in learning new facts and develop a scientific attitude towards problem-solving. The displays explored critical thinking skills and a pragmatic approach to innovation. IT-based projects showed advanced prowess in computer science.

Social Studies exhibits encompassed the streams of History, Civics and Geography at the middle-school level. Project-based-learning' inspired models were displayed to the audience.

Art and Craft displays flaunted the budding artists' intrinsic artistry and aesthetic sensibility. The children actualised their flair for acting in the play "Walk on the ramp" conducted by the Theatre Club. 'Food without Flame' encouraged healthy dining habits by serving dishes like refreshing fruit and vegetable salads, sprouts, and soothing cool drinks prepared by the staff and students. The Yoga exhibition towards the end reflected that "Yoga is not a work-out, it is a work-in".

A few showstoppers were the demo of how the Tamilians reigned the world through trade, Gangaikonda Cholapuram, Drip irrigation, and proving of mathematical theories.

Bharathi Darshan is meant to inspire, illuminate, and equip school kids to become future innovators, researchers, specialists, consultants, and designers in their chosen fields. It switches students from theoretical study to actual application and enhances their public speaking skills and self-confidence.
