Twenty cadets (Second-Year; 14 JD and 6 JW) from Bharathi School participated in the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC), which was conducted by 2 Tamil Nadu Artillery Battery NCC, Coimbatore, at Hindustan College of Engineering & Technology, Coimbatore, from the 21st to the 30th of January 2025.
Lt. Co. K. Deepak (Camp Commandant) of 2 (TN) ARTY BATTERY NCC headed this camp, where 430 SD/SW/JD/JW Division cadets participated from various Institutions and Units. Mr. M.S. Vishaga Saravanan, Special Sub-Inspector, Cyber Crime Police Station, Coimbatore, conducted a session on Cyber Crime Awareness. Among the various competitions conducted by the CATC, Lathika V, grade 9, bagged the Best Firer award in the Junior Wing category. Our cadets were a part of the football and Kho-Kho winning and runner-up teams. This 10-day NCC Camp introduced a disciplined lifestyle and fostered cadets' survival and emergency skills, as well as leadership and teamwork.
The School has taken its name after Subramania Bharathi (popularly known as ‘Mahakavi Bharathi’) pioneer of modern Tamil poetry, a fiery independence activist, a remarkable social reformer, and a journalist. He is an archetype of revolutionary thinking, modern ideas, the invincible spirit of freedom and courage. Bharathi School is a quintessence of his tenets in letter and spirit.
