The annual Republic Day Camp (RDC) selection process is held at Raj Path, Delhi, in January every year. The 4TN Battalion NCC conducted RDC selection (All Category) on the 23rd of July 2024 at the Karunya Conference Centre, Periyanaickenpalayam, Coimbatore. Among the 500 cadets who participated from over 45 institutions, Bharathi cadets also showcased their mettle. Our Army Wing Cadets Vignaya Pradhiksha A. G. (9A), Andrea N. Dcruz (9E) and Shravanthi S. (9D) were selected to participate in the group-level selection that was held at Kongunadu College of Art & Science, by 5 TN Girls Battalion NCC, Coimbatore on the 5th of August 2024.
Shravanthi was selected for the next level and participated in the selection camp conducted by 6(TN) Med Coy NCC at PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research, Coimbatore, from the 13th to the 23rd of August 2024, in which 600 NCC Army Wing cadets took part. Further adding to her achievements, Shravanthi progressed to the next phase. She completed the CATC cum Republic Day Camp (RDC) TRG - I Camp conducted by 2TN Artillery Battery NCC, Coimbatore, from the 29th of August to the 7th of September 2024 at Akshaya College of Arts & Science, Coimbatore.
The School has taken its name after Subramania Bharathi (popularly known as ‘Mahakavi Bharathi’) pioneer of modern Tamil poetry, a fiery independence activist, a remarkable social reformer, and a journalist. He is an archetype of revolutionary thinking, modern ideas, the invincible spirit of freedom and courage. Bharathi School is a quintessence of his tenets in letter and spirit.
