Students from grades 8 and 9 presented the special Deepavali programme on the 29th of October, 2024. The festivities included a devotional song and a mythological skit that symbolised the victory of good over evil. The programme also explained the ideology behind customs and traditions followed during Deepavali and how this festival brings families and communities together.
The School has taken its name after Subramania Bharathi (popularly known as ‘Mahakavi Bharathi’) pioneer of modern Tamil poetry, a fiery independence activist, a remarkable social reformer, and a journalist. He is an archetype of revolutionary thinking, modern ideas, the invincible spirit of freedom and courage. Bharathi School is a quintessence of his tenets in letter and spirit.
