On Chachaji's birthday, Bharathi celebrated children, who bring joi de vivre and meaning to our lives, by organising a no-bag day and carrying out enjoyable activities for the children.
The kindergarten kids performed riveting skits and puppet shows. The Management gifted every one of them with Piggy banks to foster the habit of saving money. Grade 1 and 2 kids hosted an interesting 'Pet Show' with their parents, and the kids from Grades 3 to 8 created memories with their buddies in the common music classes, dance classes, and PT periods.
Students from grades 9 to 12 organised a fantabulous 'Food Fest'. They brought forth novel ideas and turned them into action. They meticulously executed the plan and made it a 'palatable' success. The food varieties they displayed were delicious and tantalised the eyes and taste buds. The visitors included students from all grades and teachers who delightfully relished the dishes. The Food Fest encouraged the students to work in teams, share responsibilities, and learn skills in accountancy and management.
Mrs. Nehaarika Sanjeev, Management Member, graced the celebrations with her presence and appreciated the kids' presentations. Children's Day celebrations ended on a happy note, with the wishes of all the teachers and the School Management.
The School has taken its name after Subramania Bharathi (popularly known as ‘Mahakavi Bharathi’) pioneer of modern Tamil poetry, a fiery independence activist, a remarkable social reformer, and a journalist. He is an archetype of revolutionary thinking, modern ideas, the invincible spirit of freedom and courage. Bharathi School is a quintessence of his tenets in letter and spirit.
