Bharathi customarily celebrated Christmas on the school premises on the 22nd of December, 2023, to inspire the spirit of sharing and caring. The campus was exquisitely embellished with streamers, bells, and stars, bringing out the Christmas spirits in every Bharathian and audience who had come to grace the occasion. The story of the birth of the Lord was enacted by our primary graders, depicting the scenes of the nativity. The skit was interspersed with melodious carols and dance performances. The jubilant entry of Santa Claus moving among the crowd, jingling his bells, and distributing sweets added to the excitement. The boundless joy of celebration was visible on every face.
The School has taken its name after Subramania Bharathi (popularly known as ‘Mahakavi Bharathi’) pioneer of modern Tamil poetry, a fiery independence activist, a remarkable social reformer, and a journalist. He is an archetype of revolutionary thinking, modern ideas, the invincible spirit of freedom and courage. Bharathi School is a quintessence of his tenets in letter and spirit.
