Sports Day for the Seniors - 2024

The second day of the Annual Sports Day was marked for the Secondary School. It was held on the 29th of June 2024 at Nehru Stadium, Coimbatore.

Lt. Col. Oinam, Commanding Officer of 4(TN) Battalion, NCC, Coimbatore, presided as the Chief Guest of the day.  Mr. C. Anand from the School's Management, Mr. Sanjeev Anand, the Correspondent, and Mrs. Nehaarika Sanjeev, Bharathi School's Sports Counsellor, presided over the event.  Lt. Col. Oinam hoisted the National flag and declared the Sports Day open. Mr. Sanjeev Anand hoisted the school flag.

The day began with a march past by the NCC Army and Air Wing cadets, Scouts and Guides, followed by the students of Bharathi's houses (Noble, Peace, Truth, Charity). The Chief Guest ceremonially lit the sports torch, which was then carried by student torchbearers, symbolising sportsmanship.

Grade 7 students presented aerobics displays with amazing strength, agility, and rhythm. The saree swirls performed by grade 8 caught everyone's attention and admiration. The sarees were woven into a checked mat, and formations of flowers and beautiful peacocks left the audience in awe.

The events for Sports Day included 800m, 400m, and 100m races and 4×100m relays, which saw nail-biting finishes. The day's highlight was the relay race, which saw intense competition among the houses. Team games were conducted in the school in prior.Lucky corner was conducted for the parents on both the days wherein parents participated with zeal and order.

Lt. Col. Oinam, Mr. C. Anand, Mr. Sanjeev Anand, and Mrs. Nehaarika Sanjeev honoured the winners of events, team games, and individual champions with medals and trophies. Peace House bagged the March Past Trophy for its exemplary performance, and Noble House emerged as the Overall Champion for the academic year 2024-25 and lifted the prestigious Siddappaji Trophy. The elated Noble House did a lap of honour, holding the Siddappaji Trophy.

The two-day event concluded with a vote of thanks, flag furl, and the National Anthem.
