The World Health Organization established 'World Mental Health Day' (WMHD) to raise awareness and reduce stigma regarding mental health. Health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being, not just the absence of disease. To highlight the significance of mental health and emphasise the importance of cultivating habits to promote mental health, the Guidance and Counselling Department of Bharathi organised a "Happy Mind, Happy Life" seminar on World Mental Health Day (10.10.2024). Mrs. P. Swathi Priya, a Counselling Psychologist at Bharathi and an Expressive Arts Therapist, served as the resource person for this session attended by grade 10 students. She elucidated how to love oneself and develop a positive attitude to maintain a sound mind.
The School has taken its name after Subramania Bharathi (popularly known as ‘Mahakavi Bharathi’) pioneer of modern Tamil poetry, a fiery independence activist, a remarkable social reformer, and a journalist. He is an archetype of revolutionary thinking, modern ideas, the invincible spirit of freedom and courage. Bharathi School is a quintessence of his tenets in letter and spirit.
