Bharathi School hosted a Cyber Crime Awareness programme organised by the Office of the Commissioner of Police, in collaboration with the Social Justice and Human Rights Department, Tamil Nadu, on the 23rd of June 2026. The interactive session on "Cyber Safety and Adolescent Vulnerabilities" was conducted for Grade 10 students by the Resource Persons, Mr. V. P. Sakthivel Murugan, SSI and Ms. P. Shanthi, SSI, from the Social Justice & Human Rights Department, Tamil Nadu.
The Resource Persons elucidated how the digital world can cross the line into human rights violations, exploitation, and social injustice. The lecture addressed the following critical interconnected traps that increasingly target teenagers today, such as financial frauds (wrong calls), driving without a licence, digital extortion, love traps, and the dark web/drug nexus. Anonymous real-world case files from the state's law enforcement and social services agencies were analysed to highlight how minor digital mistakes can escalate into severe personal, emotional, and legal crises. Finally, they motivated students to strive to hold high positions in government service through Public Service Commission examinations.
