Bharathians make a splash at the CISCE 2025-26: Zonal, Regional, and National Swimming Tournaments
In the CISCE Games and Sports 2025-26 - Zonal Level Swimming Tournament held in Pollachi, Zayid S A B (Grade 7) clinched Gold medals in 50m, 100m, and 200m backstroke in the under-14 category. Rauf S A B (Grade 11) bagged Gold medals in 50m freestyle and 50m butterfly, and also secured a Silver medal in 100m freestyle in the under-17 category. Akash P (Grade 10) secured Gold medals in 800m freestyle and 200m breaststroke and secured a Silver medal in 100m breaststroke in the under-17 category. Their exceptional performance earned them the opportunity to represent Zone B in the CISCE Regional Level Swimming Tournament.
In the CISCE Regional Level Swimming Tournament, held in Pollachi, Zayid won a Gold medal in the 50m backstroke and secured Silver medals in the 100m backstroke, 200m backstroke, and the 4 x 100m medley relay in the U-14 category. Rauf won Gold medals in 50m freestyle, 50m butterfly, and 4x100m freestyle relay, and secured a Silver medal in 100m freestyle in the U-17 category. Akash secured a Silver in 800m freestyle, a Bronze in 100m breaststroke, and fourth place in 200m breaststroke in the U-17 category. He got selected for the Nationals.
Zayid, Rauf and Akash represented the Tamil Nadu and Puducherry team at the CISCE National Level Swimming Tournament, competing in the U-14 and U-17 categories.
