CISCE Games & Sports 2025-26: Basketball — Zonal Level

At the CISCE Games & Sports Zonal Level Basketball Tournament 2025-26, held at Pollachi on the 6th and 7th of July 2025, Bharathi's Under-14 Girls team and the Under-14 Boys team (grades 6 to 8) emerged as winners. Bharathi's Under-17 Girls team (grades 6 to 11) and Under-17 Boys team (grades 9 to 10) also finished as winners in their respective categories.

Based on the outstanding performance in the zonals,

  • Aditi M, Madhurya G, Anshika R, Anagha H, and Nethra V (all Grade 8) from the U-14 Girls team
  • Sri Sabarivasan K, Lohid Sanjai T, Nishanth P, Akash R (Grade 8), and Tushar S (Grade 7) from the U-14 Boys team
  • Spandana B and Samyukthaa S M of Grade 11, Aadhavee K S, Tharani M I, and Sai Jayani K R of Grade 10 from the U-17 Girls team
  • Pradheep G (Grade 9), Dharani M I, Abinav S, Darshan Krishana M A, and Dhayanandhan S (Grade 10) from the U-17 Boys team

earned their places to represent the respective Zone B teams in the Regional Level Tournament.

CISCE Games & Sports 2025-26: Basketball — Regional Level

At the CISCE Regional Level Basketball Tournament held in Virudhunagar on the 4th and 5th of August 2025, our students were part of the U-14 Boys team that finished as Runner-up. Sri Sabarivasan K, Lohid Sanjai T, Nishanth P, and Tushar S were selected to represent the Tamil Nadu and Puducherry team at the National Level tournament. Tushar S bagged the Best Player Award. In the U-17 Boys category, Bharathi students were part of the team that secured third place and received the bronze medal. Abinav S secured his spot in the National Level tournament.

At the CISCE Games & Sports 2025-26 Regional Level Basketball Tournament held at Vellore on the 7th and 8th of August 2025, Bharathi girls were part of the U-14 Girls team that secured third place. Basketeers Anshika R and Anagha H secured their spots to play at the nationals. In the U-17 Girls category, Bharathi students were part of the team, which continued its winning streak and clinched the Winners' Trophy. Samyukthaa S M bagged the Best Player Award.

Aadhavee K S, Spandana B, Samyukthaa S M, Tharani M I, and Sai Jayani K R secured their spots to play at the nationals, representing the Tamil Nadu and Puducherry team.

At the CISCE Games & Sports 2025-26 National Level Basketball Tournament held in Uttar Pradesh, from the 27th to 29th of September 2025, Aadhavee K S, Spandana B, Samyukthaa S M, Tharani M I, and Sai Jayani K R showcased their strength and determination within the team that secured third place in the U-17 Girls category.

Bharathians at the 69th National School Basketball Championship

Spandana B and Tharani M I were selected to represent the CISCE Board (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations) at the 69th National School Basketball Championship 2025-26 conducted by the School Games Federation of India (SGFI) in January 2026.
