Bharathi School conducted a career guidance programme for grade 8 students in October 2023 to help them choose their academic streams in grade 9. The syllabus for ICSE Class 9 comprises multiple important subjects, which lay the foundation for further studies. The syllabus is divided into three groups. Group I includes English, second languages, History and Civics, and Geography, which are mandatory subjects. Group II includes Mathematics, Science, Computer Science, Commercial Studies, and others. Students may choose any two subjects from Group II. Finally, one subject from Group III must be selected (e.g., art, performing arts, physical education, and the like). Mr. Anand Jeyasingh, a Certified Career Counsellor, was the resource person for this interactive session. He shed light on how to choose subjects that align with personal goals, ambitions, and personalities. He responded to the questions posed by the students by giving them relevant examples.

The School has taken its name after Subramania Bharathi (popularly known as ‘Mahakavi Bharathi’) pioneer of modern Tamil poetry, a fiery independence activist, a remarkable social reformer, and a journalist. He is an archetype of revolutionary thinking, modern ideas, the invincible spirit of freedom and courage. Bharathi School is a quintessence of his tenets in letter and spirit.
