In the Annual Training Camp (ATC) cum Vayu Sainik Camp (VSC) Selection Camp conducted by the 2(TN) AIR SQN NCC, Coimbatore, from the 1st to 10th of June 2026, at Sri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science, 27 cadets from Bharathi School participated in the camp, along with cadets from 11 schools and 10 colleges. This camp provided valuable training and exposure through various activities such as weapon training, drill practice, aeromodelling, and an eye-care awareness camp.
Bharathi’s Air Wing cadets participated in various competitions and performed exceptionally well, winning medals and certificates in drill, volleyball, and throwball.
On the occasion of World Environment Day (June 5), the cadets attended a seminar where Professor and ANO Mr. Ravi Shankar from Government Arts and Science College delivered an insightful address on environmental awareness and action. The cadets also actively participated in various cultural events organised during the camp.
The School has taken its name after Subramania Bharathi (popularly known as ‘Mahakavi Bharathi’) pioneer of modern Tamil poetry, a fiery independence activist, a remarkable social reformer, and a journalist. He is an archetype of revolutionary thinking, modern ideas, the invincible spirit of freedom and courage. Bharathi School is a quintessence of his tenets in letter and spirit.
