Making paper pencils - an eco-friendly initiative!

A SUPW (Socially Useful Productive Work) workshop was conducted in October 2023 to give grade 10 students hands-on training to make paper-based pens and pencils. The students learnt that paper pencils are the cleanest, safest, and most environmentally efficient. Inspired by this concept, they have planned a start-up to offer an eco-friendly substitute for traditional wooden pencils.

Tie & Dye workshop

The Tie and Dye Workshop (SUPW activity) was conducted for grade 9 in August 2023 as part of the school's curriculum to provide students with creative and skill-building opportunities. The students were excited to make their own colourful fabric designs using symmetrical patterns and various colour combinations. With the guidance of the instructors, different folding techniques like spiral, crumple, and fold–and–bind were tried out. The activity enhanced teamwork and experiential learning, thereby providing a platform for self-expression through art.
